Burnley are edging closer to completing a deal for Algeria captain Yazid Mansouri.
The Clarets are hoping to land the African ace, who currently plays for French side Lorient, in a £1million deal.
The 31-year-old has prior experience of life in England after taking in a season at Coventry in 2003/04.
Owen Coyle is now hoping to add his considerable experience to the heart of his midfield as Burnley look to preserve their Premier League status.
Mansouri has revealed that initial talks have already been held and he is confident of securing a January switch to England.
"I have had discussions with Burnley's directors and all that remains is for the two clubs to agree a deal," he said.
