Midfielder poised to depart Madejski Stadium

Skysports.com understands Reading midfielder Brynjar Gunnarsson is eyeing a move away from the club in January. Gunnarsson has found himself down the pecking order at the Madejski Stadium this season following the arrival of Brendan Rodgers as manager. The Iceland international has made only 10 appearances in all competitions this term and is thought to be ready to move in search of regular first-team action. Gunnarsson's agent, Olafur Gardarsson, admits a number of clubs are tracking the player's situation and that the versatile midfielder could move on next month. "We will see if we can find a move for Brynjar in January," Gardarsson told skysports.com. "He is used to playing regularly, but has only played in half the games this season. "When a new manager comes in he has new ideas and Brynjar understands this. "There is interest in Brynjar from England and Scandinavia, but he would prefer to stay in England and we will see what happens in January."
