Tigers midfielder could return from hamstring problem

Hull City midfielder Seyi Olofinjana could return for the Tigers' Premier League clash with Blackburn on Saturday. The 29-year-old Nigeria international has been out with a hamstring injury since early November when he scored a crucial goal in Hull's 2-1 win over Stoke at the KC Stadium. Olofinjana netted a superb curling shot to get the Tigers back into the match, before Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink scored a last-minute winner to complete the comeback. His potential return after four games on the sidelines will be a welcome boost for City manager Phil Brown, who will be without influential midfielder Jimmy Bullard for six to eight weeks. Bullard limped off after suffering medial ligament damage in the defeat to Aston Villa at the weekend, but Brown thinks they can cope without the talisman. "There's a lot said about one-man teams, but I don't think we are and showed that against Everton (in a 3-2 win) when Jimmy couldn't play," he told the club's official website. "We produced some of the best football we've played all season in the first half against Everton and got three valuable points. "With that in mind, you just have to get on with it. Hopefully, somebody will use this as an opportunity to impress. "There are all sorts of options and all sorts of opportunities for people because of one man's injury." Hull are currently 16th in the Premier League table with 16 points from 16 games and will leapfrog Blackburn if they win at the KC Stadium.
