Williams swoops for goalkeeper cover

Leyton Orient have eased their goalkeeping headache with the loan acquisition of Tottenham's Lee Butcher. The League One outfit have been left short between the posts following injury to regular first choice Jamie Jones, who was knocked out in the weekend defeat to Colchester. Butcher, 21, has previously had loan spells away from White Hart Lane but this will be his first at a Football League club. He will remain with Orient for a month and could feature in Wednesday's reserve game at Brighton. "Jamie Jones has had two bangs on the head recently and the doctor feels it is best if he rests up for a couple of weeks to be on the safe side, so we're delighted to offer a chance for Lee to join us," Os boss Geraint Williams told the club's official website. "We have close links with Tottenham and Harry Redknapp was happy for Lee to come here and he'll be looking to get on the bench or starting while Jamie is resting up."
