Midfielder hit with heavy fine over breach of discipline

Hearts have fined Laryea Kingston the maximum four weeks' wages following a breach of club discipline. The Tynecastle outfit claim Kingston had been punished for "unacceptable conduct" in the period following last month's game at St Johnstone. Kingston's future at Hearts has been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks after coach Csaba Laszlo blasted the Ghana international for putting club before country earlier this month. However, Hearts claim the fine was not related to Kingston's decision to play twice for Ghana during the recent international break despite being declared injured by the club. A statement on the club's official website read: "The penalty reflects the seriousness of the disciplinary breach and is the maximum that could be imposed in line with the SPL guidelines."
