Jerome Thomas has joined Premier League new boys Wolves on trial as he looks to get fixed up for next season.
The former England Under 21 international is on the lookout for a new club having left Portsmouth at the end of last season.
Thomas had a spell training at Hull City earlier in the summer but a deal failed to materialise despite a number of bright displays in pre-season.
Having accrued plenty of top-flight experience while at Charlton earlier in his career, Thomas could be an attractive proposition for a Wolves side shy of Premier League pedigree.
Thomas, who has said he is also open to a move abroad, will train with the Molineux club as Mick McCarthy weighs up whether to offer him a permanent stay.
"Jerome joined us for training yesterday and we're just having a look at him," McCarthy told the club's official website.
Thomas will play some part in Wolves' friendly against MK Dons on Tuesday night.
