Potters midfielder set to join Monaco

Stoke City have accepted a £2.5million offer from Monaco for Nigeria international midfielder Seyi Olofinjana. Olofinjana was a £3million signing from Wolves last summer, but he fell out of favour at Stoke in the second half of last season. The arrival of Dean Whitehead from Sunderland is also likely to restrict the Nigeria international's opportunities at the Britannia Stadium in the coming campaign. Monaco have been linked with a move for the 29-year-old in recent weeks and a fee of £2.5million has now been agreed between the two clubs. Olofinjana had earlier told skysports.com that he is tempted by a switch to Monaco and expects to finalise his future plans later this week. "The French league is a good league," said Olofinjana. "I have a contract here until 2012, so let's wait and see. "By the end of the week I will be more clear about my future."
