Eidur Gudjohnsen has hinted he could return to the Premier League after admitting his Barcelona future is far from certain.
The Iceland international has struggled to hold down regular first-team football during his three years at Camp Nou.
Gudjohnsen had successful spells with Bolton and Chelsea prior to joining Barca and is being tipped for an England return.
The 30-year-old forward is currently focused on improving his fitness ahead of the new Liga season, but has hinted he could be ready to return to England's top flight.
Time will tell
"I can't confirm whether I'm staying or leaving. I think it's a matter of time and only time will tell what will happen. My future is a little bit uncertain," he admitted.
"For the moment I'm a Barcelona player but we all know in football that everything can change very quickly.
"I'm only thinking about getting myself fit for the new season, whether that be with Barcelona or another club. We will see.
"I look back at my time (in England) with great memories. It was a wonderful time but whether I will return to England is not so sure. I think we can only see what the future holds."
