Skysports.com understands Hamilton Academical full-back Brian Easton has agreed a three-year contract with Burnley.

Hamilton accepted an undisclosed offer for Easton on Monday and the 21-year-old has travelled to Burnley to hold talks.

The negotiations have proved successful, with Easton accepting the Clarets' offer and he is now undergoing a medical.

Easton's agent Willie McKay confirmed that the transfer is likely to be completed within the next 24 hours.

"We've agreed personal terms and he's set to sign a three-year contract," McKay told skysports.com.

"He's currently having a medical and there shouldn't be any problems with that.

"Hopefully, the deal should be completed today."

Easton will become the latest recruit for the Premier League new boys, with Owen Coyle having already signed Tyrone Mears, David Edgar and Steven Fletcher.
