Sevilla are understood to be closing in on the signing of Tottenham midfielder Didier Zokora.
The Ivory Coast international has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane after falling down the pecking order towards the end of last season.
A switch to Sevilla appeared set to collapse last month due to a disagreement over the player's valuation.
It is understood that Tottenham were asking for a €10million (£8.6m) transfer fee and Sevilla were only prepared to pay €7million.
Reports in the Spanish press now suggest the clubs could be about to settle on a figure around the €8.5million mark.
Sevilla president Jose Maria Del Nido is optimistic Zokora will soon join the club, who have qualified for this season's UEFA Champions League.
"I have confidence in finding a solution to this subject in a few days because the situation has changed after the first meeting," said Del Nido.
Sevilla director Ramon Rodriguez Monchi added: "Zokora is a key player for the new project with the squad."
