Fulham have confirmed Moritz Volz has left the club following the conclusion of his contract.

The former Wimbledon and Arsenal defender made 146 appearances for the Cottagers during a five-year spell.

Volz finished last season in the Championship with Ipswich, with whom he made 22 league appearances.

The German scored what was the 15,000th Premier League goal in a game against Chelsea in December 2006.

Striker Collins John joins Volz in searching for a new club after he was not offered new terms by manager Roy Hodgson.

Meanwhile, Danish midfielder Leon Andreasen, who joined in the 2008 January transfer window, has joined Hannover on a permanent deal following a loan spell.
