Tigers boss says only 'ridiculous offer' would see forward leave

Hull City manager Phil Brown has stated that only a 'ridiculous offer' would see Geovanni leave the club. The Brazilian forward signed at the KC Stadium from Manchester City on a free transfer last summer. Geovanni enjoyed an excellent start to his time with the Tigers but faded during the second half of the season. Reports have suggested an exit could be in the offing following claims that he is unsettled in East Yorkshire. However, Brown told the Hull Daily Mail: "Do I see reason why he won't be a Hull City player next year? Not unless we get a ridiculous offer.

Crazy

"Then, like any team, you would have to consider it from a business point of view. "If we're bringing in a number of strikers to bolster the chances to score goals, I know for a fact that Geovanni is a good footballer. "He can be as creative as well as playing a big part with the goals that he scored. "He was the leading goalscorer last season and unless there were ridiculous bids on the table, then it would be foolish of me to let him go. But the market can be a crazy world so who knows?" Asked if Geovanni had given any indication that he is unhappy at Hull, Brown concluded: "No, far from it."
