Joseph Yobo is convinced Everton can force their way into the top four with more financial backing at their disposal.
Yobo was part of the side defeated by Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley last month, after which manager David Moyes urged the club to hand him the funds that would allow him to strengthen his squad this summer.
Moyes has yet to make a move in the transfer market, but providing he gets the right backing from chairman Bill Kenwright, Yobo is sure Everton can secure qualification for the UEFA Champions League in the future.
"With a better financial backing, we can be in the top four before long," Yobo told Lagos-based TV station Galaxy.
"We have a very bright future ahead. We have finished these past two seasons within the top six and we are still growing as a team. I believe that in the very near future we will break into the top four in England."
