Left-back keeping options open

Thimothee Atouba expects to be able to make an announcement on his future in the next few days. The left-back is a free agent after his contract with Hamburg expired at the end of the 2008/9 season. He has been linked with several clubs but reports in France and Germany now suggest Wolves and Celtic are battling it out for his signature. Celtic have been tracking his progress for some time, while Wolves are understood to want more experience in their squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign. Atouba, who spent a year with Tottenham earlier in his career, admits he is likely to move to Britain. "There are many chances my career will continue in the United Kingdom, or somewhere else, I have many contacts," Atouba told skysports.com. "There is interest. I am relaxed and will be making an announcement in a few days."
