French striker yet to generate a suitable offer

Juventus director of football Alessio Secco is yet to receive a suitable offer for David Trezeguet. The France international is tipped to leave Stadio Olimpico this summer after falling out of favour with the Turin giants. Early reports had suggested he could be used in a swap deal involving Manchester City midfielder Elano, while a switch to Juve's Serie A rivals Roma has been touted. However, Secco, while admitting approaches have been made, insists Trezeguet is going nowhere for now. "I have received offers, but they are insufficient," he told La Repubblica. "Overall, I think it would be difficult for him to join another Italian side - he is part of the history of this club."

Contact

Secco also cooled talk of a potential trade for Brazilian playmaker Elano by insisting Juve have no interest in such a deal. "City have not contacted us directly, but I cannot say for definite whether they have spoken to his agent," he added. "Elano is a great player, but we already have somebody in that role and therefore we are not interested in entering negotiations." Trezeguet's departure could open up a space for another attacking option within Juve's squad, but Secco claims the club are happy with their current crop and has dashed any suggestion that a move for Lazio's Macedonian frontman Goran Pandev could be made. "These rumours are groundless," he said. "We have a complete group of strikers."
