Penney ponders raid on Wolves

Wolves defender Mark Little has emerged as a possible target for Oldham Athletic, skysports.com understands. The promising stopper, who spent a spell on loan at Northampton last season, is believed to have caught the eye of new Latics boss Dave Penney. Oldham are in the market for a number of players following a cull of their playing staff in the summer, with nine first-team players leaving Boundary Park. Little is unlikely to figure for Wolves next term given his relative lack of experience and could again be willing to go out on loan in a bid to accrue more playing time. Oldham full-back Neal Eardley has been linked with a move away from the North West outfit and if he does indeed depart, it will only increase the likelihood of further defensive reinforcements.
