Stoke have offered a new one-year contract to Salif Diao as his current deal comes to an end.
The midfielder moved to the Britannia Stadium in 2006, initially on loan from Liverpool before making the switch permanent.
He has been a key performer for the Potters over the past three seasons and has now been given the chance to extend his stay with the club.
Meanwhile, Stoke have confirmed the release of striker Vincent Pericard, along with Tom Thorley, Jimmy Phillips and Marc Grocott.
Pericard has not made an appearance for Stoke since January's FA Cup defeat at Hartlepool and his contract has not been renewed.
Manager Tony Pulis is already building towards next season and admits there will be a lot of work to do this summer.
"We have to change everything," Pulis told the club's official website.
"We have to push on, we have to move on and that's what we'll be doing."
