Nicklas Bendtner has confirmed he is interested in extending his contract at Arsenal.
The Denmark international's form has come under scrutiny this campaign but he still amassed 15 goals in all competitions.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger recently announced his intention to hand Bendtner a new deal, and the 21-year-old would be eager to sign fresh terms.
He told Ekstra Bladet: "It is of course a priority of mine to prolong my contract, and I have never said anything else.
"For me it is of course sweet to receive the backing from the manager, and I hope to stay at the club for a long time."
Bendtner joined Arsenal from FC Copenhagen in 2004 and his current contract at Emirates Stadium expires in 2012.
