Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill has revealed Ashley Young and Luke Young are battling to be fit for Sunday's Premier League match against relegation-threatened Newcastle United.
PFA Young Player of the Year Ashley Young is struggling with a calf injury he sustained during the second half of last Saturday's 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough.
Meanwhile, Luke Young, who has enjoyed an impressive season at left-back, has a foot complaint ahead of the fixture at Villa Park.
O'Neill said: "Luke is probably doubtful still but we will give him every possible minute to see how he is.
"Ashley is still sore but we are still a few days from Sunday. He is feeling a lot better, which is good."
Villa need to win against Alan Shearer's Magpies, who lie in the drop zone, to keep alive their hopes of finishing fifth ahead of Everton, who they currently trail by one point.
