Elano has announced that he is ready to sign a new contract with Manchester City.
The Brazilian schemer enjoyed an impressive debut campaign after joining the club from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2007.
But speculation over his future surfaced earlier this season after he endured a frustrating period of form and an irregular role in Mark Hughes' side.
Elano, though, has recently featured on a consistent basis, tallying 25 Premier League appearances to date, and is now ready to extend his Eastlands stay.
"This is the end of my second season with City and if it were up to me I would be sat around a table discussing a contract extension right now," Elano told the official Manchester City magazine.
"I would love to renew my contract at City and remain here for a long time.
"I love England and I enjoy living in Manchester. I am very happy here."
