Sylvain Distin has warned Manchester United that Portsmouth are capable of causing another upset at Old Trafford.
The defender was a part of the team that dumped United out of last season's FA Cup quarter-finals on their home soil as Pompey went on to win the competition.
And Distin has told Sir Alex Ferguson's side that Pompey, who defeated Bolton at the weekend, are again planning to stun their hosts in Wednesday night's Premier League meeting.
United could return to the top of the table with a point but 14th-placed Portsmouth are eager to maintain breathing space over the relegation zone, and Distin is eyeing a win.
"We showed last season that anything can happen. That is the beauty of football," he said in the Daily Mirror.
"You cannot go into a match thinking you are going to lose. We need the points and this is another opportunity to take three points.
"It does not matter if you are playing United or Bolton, you have to go out and fight for the win and that is what we will do."
