Defender wants Baggies to keep faith with playing style

Jonas Olsson insists West Bromwich Albion will not give up hope of staying in the Premier League. The Baggies' prospects of avoiding an immediate return to the Championship suffered a hammer blow on Saturday after a 2-0 home defeat by Stoke City. The result leaves West Brom eight points from safety and with just seven games left, starting with a trip to relegation rivals Portsmouth at the weekend. Olsson believes the Baggies' pleasing style of play can succeed in the top flight and is not ruling out another 'Great Escape'. "People might say that's naive, but you have to have hope," said Olsson. "We have to go home and remember there's seven games left to play for. "For us to get the most points, to do our best, we have to play the way we've played this season by getting the football on the ground. "This style of play can succeed in the Premier League, but you have to look at the materials, the players you have, and that's why we lost."
