Hull City striker Daniel Cousin is a major doubt for this weekend's clash with Portsmouth due to his back injury.
Cousin has missed Hull's last two games and he is struggling to shake off the problem ahead of the visit of fellow strugglers Portsmouth.
The former Rangers man missed the defeats to Arsenal and Wigan, and boss Phil Brown has revealed he remains doubtful for the weekend.
Brown will continue to assess the fitness of Cousin before finalising his side to face Pompey.
"Daniel Cousin is still struggling with his back," Brown told the Hull Daily Mail.
"The grounds are getting harder and it's not doing him any favours.
"We'll give him time and assess him closer to the weekend."
