Chelsea's Ricardo Quaresma says playing for the Blues has "brought the joy back" to his game.

Midfielder more confident with Blues

Chelsea's Ricardo Quaresma says playing for the Blues has "brought the joy back" to his game. The 25-year-old, on loan from Inter Milan, arrived at Stamford Bridge as a deadline day signing until the end of the season. Since his move, Quaresma has seen a change of manager whilst playing a part in Chelsea's reintroduction to the title race as well as their progression in Europe. Upon the arrival of Guus Hiddink, the talented midfielder has made a number of cameo appearances from the bench in a hectic month for the West London club. Two months since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, Quaresma explains how switching to the Blues has brought back his love for the game.

Joy

"When I was at Inter, I wasn't feeling very confident, I wasn't playing well and wasn't happy," he told the club's official website. "I already feel more confident here at Chelsea, it has brought the joy back for me, which I didn't have at Inter. "I lost my will and motivation, and that is important for a footballer, to be happy, which I am now because I've got my confidence back. "That's what makes me feel more confident and want to improve more and I don't have any fear, everything thrown at me I am fine with it."
Praise
Quaresma heaped praise on the Premier League, saying most players will, at some point in their career, dream of playing in England's top flight. "Everybody wants to play in the English league," he added. "I think this is because it's a very competitive league, players come here and learn a lot. "Players get stronger, physically and psychologically, they have to in order to play here, and you have to keep this level high. "This can only help in any other league you play in, and it gives more motivation because the rhythm is so frenetic, you have to be at your best."
