Ivorian defender vows to save the Baggies from the drop

West Brom defender Abdoulaye Meite has challenged his team-mates to win the majority of their remaining games in order to avoid relegation. The Baggies are currently rock bottom of the Premier League, six points off safety, but Ivory Coast international Meite believes they have what it takes to beat the drop. "I still believe we can do well and stay in the Premier League (by) winning most games," he told skysports.com. "I think we play better football than most teams, how we are in the bottom of the league it is unbelievable." Meite, who only joined the club last summer from Bolton Wanderers, was quick to quash rumours he could leave The Hawthorns should they go down this term. "We will fight to stay in the Premiership, I don't want to talk about my future, I want to stay in the Premier League with West Brom," he said. "At the end of the season we will see. At the moment it is stay in the Premier League - nothing else."
