Winger eager for chance to play after Pompey frustration

Portsmouth winger Glen Little has rejoined former club Reading on loan until the end of the season. Little left Reading last summer following the club's relegation to the Championship, but has struggled to make an impact at Pompey. He has not featured for the Premier League strugglers since Boxing Day and is looking forward to the chance to play regularly again. "It was an easy decision to come back and I'll do everything I can to get Reading back into the Premier League," Little told the club's official website. "Even if I can just add 5% that might be the difference between gaining promotion and staying in the Championship and I'm really looking forward to it. "I'm fit and have been training every week, but just haven't had the opportunity to play at Portsmouth since Boxing Day which has been frustrating."

Huge favourite

Reading boss Steve Coppell says he had no qualms about bringing the 33-year-old back to the Madejski Stadium. Coppell said: "Despite leaving in the summer, I know Reading has a big place in Glen's heart and I'd like to think he can make an impact in the next two months. "He was a huge favourite in our promotion year and made countless goals with his ability. Hopefully now he will be fresh and inspired to make a difference. "It's too early to say whether he's ready to challenge for a starting place. We'll look at his condition and take it from there."
