Arsene Wenger has confirmed Arsenal are hoping to send youngster Havard Nordtveit out on loan.

Defender could be heading back to native Norway

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed the club are hoping to send youngster Havard Nordtveit out on loan. The 18-year-old was signed by Wenger in 2007 and was sent to Salamanca on loan last summer. Nordtveit is now back at Arsenal following the end of his loan spell at Salamanca, but Wenger is keen to farm out the teenager again to his native Norway so that he can continue his education with regular first-team football. "I would like Havard to get more playing time," Wenger told Bergensavisen. "Therefore, we would like to loan him to a Norwegian club." Nordtveit's agent revealed last week a number of Norwegian club were chasing the defender's signature and Arsenal will be hoping to agree a deal for the starlet in the near future.
