Argentine happy to stay in homeland

Juan Roman Riquelme insists his heart belongs to Boca Juniors amid reports linking the Argentine with a move to Newcastle United. The talented playmaker returned to his homeland initially in a loan switch from Villarreal in 2007, but has since made his Boca stay a permanent arrangement. Riquelme made his name as a classy schemer in Spain while plying his trade at first Barcelona and then more successfully with Villarreal. He has played some excellent football in South America and appears to be content to see out the remainder of his playing days in Argentina. Newcastle are thought to be already planning potential targets for next season but if, as speculated, Riquelme is on their list he could take some persuading. "I am happy at my home and I want to play for many years at Boca," Riquelme told Radio Del Plata. "In Europe I had a year at Barcelona that wasn't so good and after that I had four-and-a-half years at Villarreal as good as at Boca. "My dream is to win the title at Boca and gain a place in Argentina's squad, alongside Maradona, for the World Cup in 2010. "In my life the question of money is never a priority."
