Tigers full-back looking for confidence boost

Andy Dawson believes it is 'massively important' for Hull City to get a positive result against Blackburn Rovers. The Tigers' run without a Premier League win was stretched to 10 games on Monday after a 2-1 home defeat by Tottenham Hotspur. Blackburn visit the KC Stadium on Sunday and Dawson admits City can not afford to lose against their relegation rivals. "We all know we need some points from that game," said Dawson. "They are below us, so if we can get a point or three there will be a little bit of a gap. "It is a massively important time of the season and one we have got to start getting points from." Before taking on Blackburn, the Tigers also tackle Sheffield United in an FA Cup fifth-round replay and Dawson admits a win over Spurs would have been the ideal boost to morale. He added: "I think if we'd have won it would have given us a little bit of daylight, but it wasn't to be. "We have got to pick ourselves up now. We have got two more massive games this week."
