David Suazo's father and agent has confirmed that there is interest from England.
Newcastle have been strongly linked with the Honduras front-man, who is currently on a season-long loan with Portuguese giants Benfica from Inter Milan.
Suazo's father Don Nico insists Inter, who paid nearly £10million for the striker in 2007, have yet to make a decision on Suazo's future.
But he revealed that there had been interest from England.
"David is happy at Benfica and could stay another year," he is quoted by Tuttomercato.
"Inter's intention at the moment is to wait until June before making a decision, and we have no issues with that.
"England? Some clubs are interested - but I repeat the key to this issue is Inter."
