West Ham have been boosted by the news that Carlton Cole has not broken his ankle.
The England international was forced off during their FA Cup fifth round draw with Middlesbrough at the weekend, amid fears he had seriously damaged his ankle.
However, an X-ray has shown there are no broken bones and now, subject to a scan, the club hope he could be sidelined for just two weeks.
The news is not so good for their Portuguese forward Luis Boa Morte.
The club have confirmed that the former Fulham star will be out for a month with a groin injury he suffered against Boro.
