Everton manager David Moyes has hailed the 'world-class' defensive partnership of Joleon Lescott and Phil Jagielka.
Lescott and Jagielka have struck up an impressive understanding at the heart of Everton's defence of late, with the side conceding just four goals in their last eight games.
Moyes is full of praise for the duo, and has backed them for further England honours under Fabio Capello, as the Italian considers his squad for next week's international friendly in Spain.
"I have got two world-class centre-halves," said Moyes. "They are playing out of their skins.
"I look around the country and (Manchester United's Nemanja) Vidic and (Rio) Ferdinand are the best partnership. But after that, I think our two are the best pairing.
"They have been consistent, reliable and they are growing in confidence as well.
"If they get chosen (for England) they will do everything they can. International football is different but they are doing very well for Everton."
