West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola is confident Matthew Upson and Scott Parker will be staying at the club.

The pair have been linked with a move away from Upton Park after West Ham owner Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson was hit by the credit crunch.

But Zola believes the coveted midfielder and defender will be going nowhere this January.

The Italian said: "They are keen to stay here. They like what we are doing and the way we are playing."

His comments come after West Ham chief executive Scott Duxbury admitted there has been 'a lot' of interest in the pair, along with Robert Green.

But Duxbury also reiterated that the club want the trio to stay and he had "got the commitment back from them that they didn't want to go."
