Nurnberg are in no rush to sell Angelos Charisteas, who was reportedly watched by Fulham manager Roy Hodgson in a friendly on Wednesday.
Charisteas has been linked with a January move to the Premier League, with the Cottagers and West Brom showing an interest.
German second division side Nurnberg confirmed last week that Fulham had been in touch regarding a possible deal for the Greek striker.
Reports in Germany claim Cottagers chief Hodgson ran a personal check on Charisteas during Nurnberg's friendly win over Viktoria Plzen.
Charisteas scored in the game, but Nurnberg's general manager Martin Bader says neither club are in a hurry to complete a deal.
No rush
"We are in no rush to sell Angelos and Fulham is in no rush to buy," Bader told
Abendzeitung.
Hodgson is in the market for a new forward and has also been linked with a move for Manchester City's Felipe Caicedo.
He also admitted last week that any January deals will have to be either bargains or loans, with Nurnberg rumoured to want £1.5million for Charisteas.
