Hugo Almeida is remaining calm about his future at Werder Bremen after being linked with three clubs.

Werder ace treating exit talk as speculation

Hugo Almeida is remaining calm about his future at Werder Bremen, with three clubs reportedly chasing the striker. The Portugal international, who played for Porto before joining the Bundesliga club, is believed to be on the radar of Espanyol, Real Betis and Everton. Werder are currently against cashing in on the 26-year-old hit-man, although they may be willing to agree a loan deal with a view to a €6million (£5.5m) permanent switch.

Focused

Almeida, who is currently training with Werder in Turkey, says he is focused on the club as he is treating talk of a move away from Weserstadion as pure speculation. "I've signed a deal with Bremen because my future is at the club," he told the German media. "I'm not thinking about leaving because no one at the club has spoken about this to me. "I've heard that some clubs have been in touch about a transfer, but I am calm."
