The agent of Steve Gohouri has remained tight-lipped regarding speculation linking the Borussia Monchengladbach defender with Stoke and Sunderland.
The Premier League strugglers are rumoured to be tracking the 27-year-old as they look to reinforce their backlines in the battle against relegation.
A number of other European clubs are also reported to be watching Gohouri ahead of a possible deal in the January transfer window.
The Ivory Coast international is understood to have suffered a bust-up with manager Hans Meyer and could be looking for an opportunity to leave Germany.
But Gohouri's representative - Rui Jorge - has declined to confirm or deny interest from England, telling skysports.com: "I do not have anything to say. Steve is fine, wait and see."
