Russians claim loan offer from Reebok

Zenit St Petersburg claim that Bolton have made a loan offer for their striker Pavel Pogrebnyak. The Russian international was strongly linked with a switch to Everton earlier this month, but now it is claimed Bolton have made a move. Zenit president Maxim Mitrofanov has stated that they have a loan offer on the table from The Trotters. "Pavel's agent Oleg Artemov informed us about possible Pogrebnyak moves. We will consider them," Mitrofanov told Sport Express. "We have an offer from Bolton, but a permanent deal is more interesting for both Zenit and Pogrebnyak." Bolton have good relations with Zenit having already signed Sebastien Puygrenier from them earlier this month. However, Bolton have only just finalised a loan deal for Portuguese international Ariza Makukula and it remains to be seen whether they would want Pogrebnyak too.
