Bolton have recalled full-back Nicky Hunt from his loan spell at Championship outfit Birmingham.
The former England Under 21 international initially moved to St Andrews on a one-month emergency loan deal back in November, before seeing that agreement extended for a further four weeks.
A number of assured displays helped the Blues to remain in the second tier promotion chase, with the club well placed to make an immediate return to the Premier League.
However, with Bolton enduring a player shortage ahead of their FA Cup date with Sunderland this weekend, Hunt finds himself back at the Reebok Stadium.
With Gavin McCann suspended for the upcoming third round contest and first-choice right-back Gretar Steinsson also banned, Gary Megson is desperately short on numbers.
As a result, the Trotters boss has invoked a clause in Hunt's contract which allowed him to be recalled at 24 hours' notice.
