Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce is waiting to learn the extent of Emile Heskey's injury setback.
Heskey limped off in the first half of Sunday's 1-0 win at Bolton Wanderers and was replaced by Henri Camara.
The striker picked up a hamstring strain and reports suggest the England international could be sidelined for up to a month.
Bruce is unsure of the severity of the injury, which could end any prospect of Heskey leaving the JJB Stadium in January.
The 30-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and Latics chief Bruce confirmed he has not received any bids for the former Liverpool forward.
"We do not yet know the extent of the damage of Emile's hamstring and we have no idea yet of how long he is going to be out," said Bruce.
"But he definitely will not play in Friday night's FA Cup tie at Tottenham.
"The good thing is that we have had no bids in for him, or anybody else here for that matter, and I just hope that continues all through January."
