West Ham starlet Jack Collison insists Gianfranco Zola has been 'superb' for the club.
The Welsh international has become a regular in the first-team under Zola.
And Collison insists Zola has been a hugely positive influence since arriving in September.
"The new manager has come in and given me a lot of confidence," Collison told Sky Sports News.
"He has been really positive for me, and he has been superb not just for me but for the whole club."
West Ham face Aston Villa at the weekend and Collison is confident The Hammers can take something from the game.
"Villa are flying but we seem to raise our game against the bigger teams, you look at Liverpool, and the Chelsea games so we are going to look to put on a real performance for the fans," he said.
"I think any team could push up the league, and Saturday we are looking to kick-start our season."
