Sir Alex Ferguson is sweating on the fitness of Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Carrick ahead of Manchester United's game against Tottenham.
Berbatov picked up a knock in the 1-0 victory over Sunderland on Saturday and sat out the 2-2 drew with AaB Aalborg.
Carrick also missed the UEFA Champions League match due to a thigh problem but Ferguson hopes to have both players available to face their former club at the weekend.
United will be without a number of other players as they look to keep the pressure on the Premier League leaders with three points at White Hart Lane.
"Berbatov is injured but we're hopeful," Ferguson told the Evening Standard.
"He got a kick in the Achilles on Saturday and we need to get rid of the swelling first and then see.
"Carrick has a thigh injury and we hope he will be all right.
"Tottenham is an important game but Rooney is suspended and Patrice Evra too. So we've got to utilise our pool and pick the right team on Saturday."
