Sunderland striker David Healy expects Roy Keane to prove a success when he returns to management.
Former Black Cats boss Keane quit the Stadium of Light last week and speculation has suggested that the ex-Manchester United star may not return to football.
However, Keane has released a statement through the League Managers' Association insisting that he hopes to return to the game in the future.
And Healy is confident Keane will make a comeback and that his former manager will fulfil his potential.
"I'm sure Roy will be back," Healey told Sky Sports News. "He was a great footballer and is potentially a top-class manager.
"I'm sure, be it a week, two weeks, six months or a year or, if he is out of the game for a long time, he will miss it.
"I think football as a whole will miss Roy."
