Newcastle defender keen to move up the table swiftly
Newcastle United centre-back Steven Taylor has voiced his determination to end talk of relegation at St James' Park.
The Magpies currently lie 16th in the Premier League table, a point above the drop zone.
Taylor is frustrated that his side are considered candidates for the drop and is aware they must string together some positives results in order to push away from danger.
He said: "If we can get a couple of wins together, people won't be talking about this relegation battle.
"I am sick of hearing the word 'relegation'. It's still tight at the moment, so there is no reason why we can't push ourselves back up there."
