Blues boss considering extending full-back's loan

Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish admits he is facing a 'dilemma' about extending Nicky Hunt's loan. Hunt has spent the past month on loan at St Andrews, but is due to return to Bolton Wanderers after Saturday's game against Watford. The right-back has made six appearances for Blues and should be fit to face Watford after suffering a hamstring injury against Wolves last week. However, with Stuart Parnaby now back for selection, McLeish is deciding whether he should keep Hunt at the club for another month.

Quality player

"It's now a bit of a dilemma for me because he has done well for us, Saturday's the last game of his loan, and Stuart is now fit," McLeish told the Birmingham Mail. "I will have to speak [to the board] about it because although Stuart has been excellent for us this season, do I take the risk and hope there is no injury in the next month or so? "I think with six games in the month, maybe we need to cover ourselves and have as strong a squad as possible. "Nicky is a quality player and he has brought Premier League experience to us in his time here."
