Panathinaikos are interested in taking Chelsea star Alex to Greece, skysports.com understands.
The Greek giants are managed by former Blues assistant Henk Ten Cate - who knows the Brazilian stopper well from his time at Stamford Bridge.
Ten Cate is now keen to snap-up Alex during the January transfer window and Pana are believed to have made contact with Chelsea.
Alex has started just four league games this season and Pana are hoping the 26-year-old could be lured to Athens.
Pana signed Gilberto Silva from Arsenal in the summer and he is believed to have talked up the club to his international colleague.
