South African midfielder Kagiso Dikgacoi must wait until January to complete a dream move to England.
The Golden Arrows ace has agreed terms with Premier League side Fulham, but has failed to secure a work permit in time to make the switch to London before transfer deadline day on Monday.
That means the 23-year-old must now wait until the window re-opens in the New Year before finalising the deal.
"Everything went well for me at Fulham," Dikgacoi told KickOff.com on his return to his homeland.
"I passed the medical and knew I was racing against time to have my work permit approved because of my limited games for Bafana Bafana (the national team).
"I was happy when they told me they will invite me again next year in January. It shows they liked what they saw in me.
"But I'm back now, and I have told myself to continue working hard to help my team so that I get more call-ups for the national team.
"I am optimistic I will realise my dream of playing in Europe."
