Pre-season tour goal for keeper

Wolves shot-stopper Matt Murray is working hard to complete his rehabilitation from knee surgery. He is trying to get fit so he can go on the championship side's pre-season tour of Scotland in July. If all goes well, he wants to be in a position to challenge Wayne Hennessey for that first-team jersey. He told the Birmingham Mail: "My main concern at the moment is the pre-season games.

Getting fitter

"For me it's about getting fitter and I am under no illusions about what's ahead of me to just try to get back in the team. "I am working as hard as I can to ensure I can get back fit to give myself the best possible chance. Everything is still going well and the physios seem happy that things are coming along nicely. "I'm still hoping to be ready to go in July and it would be nice to be involved in the pre-season tour if that's what the manager wants." An added incentive for the 26-year-old to get fit are the upcoming games with newly-promoted Doncaster, who won their place in the Championship thanks to a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Leeds in the League One play-off final last month.
Extra significance
He explained: "In my case the games with Doncaster take on extra significance because a lot of my wife's family are Doncaster fans. "They were all there at Wembley when they won the play-offs recently and I was getting all the texts saying, 'see you next year'."
