Veteran stopper feeling 'fine' after knee injury

Portsmouth defender Linvoy Primus is confident he can put any thoughts of retirement on the back-burner. Primus has not played for Pompey this season due to a knee injury and will not be back in the first team before the end of the campaign. There have been previous fears that the severity of the injury would force the 34-year-old into retirement, but Primus aims to play on. "There's no question about it, I'll be back for the pre-season," said Primus in the Daily Express. "The knee feels fine. "I've had moments when I wondered if I'd make it, but I shan't be retiring yet." Primus, who has spent eight years at Fratton Park, is out of contract in the summer and has questioned whether he will still be at the club next season.
