Stoke have allowed striker Adam Rooney and midfielder Anthony Pulis to leave the Britannia Stadium on loan.
Rooney has joined Bury on a one-month deal and will go straight into the squad for Saturday's clash with Bradford at Valley Parade.
The 19-year-old enjoyed a similar spell with Chesterfield earlier in the season where he hit six goals in 11 league starts.
And Stoke manager Tony Pulis has explained his reasoning for allowing the forward to leave.

"Adam needs to be playing more games," Pulis told Stoke's
official website. "He learnt a lot at Chesterfield but was on the bench towards the end of his stay.
"Getting him back out on loan and playing regularly is what he needs now to keep improving."
Meanwhile, Anthony Pulis has moved to Bristol Rovers on a three-month deal and he could be in contention for Saturday's League One away meeting with Doncaster.
And Rovers manager Paul Trollope has admitted he has been watching the 23-year-old for the past year-and-a-half.

"He's a young midfield player who has had a taste of Championship action this season," Trollope told Rovers'
official website. "He's a player we have had our eye on for the last 18 months.
"We need to add to the squad. We need to strengthen in certain areas and we are delighted to have him on board.
"We're happy to have him here. He fits into our criteria for players and we hope it works out for both parties."
