Chelsea's Adrian Pettigrew has extended his loan spell at Brentford by a further month.

Chelsea's Adrian Pettigrew has extended his loan spell at Brentford by a further month. The 20-year-old has impressed during his time at Griffin Park making 11 appearances for the League Two side. He was originally signed on a one-month deal just before the start of the season but has gone on to become a key figure under boss Terry Butcher playing mainly as a central defender.

Arrangement

The extension to the loan arrangement runs until 11th November meaning that Pettigrew will now be free to play in the away matches at Rochdale, Bradford and Macclesfield, as well as the home game with Lincoln City. Chelsea have also granted Pettigrew permission to play for the Bees in the FA Cup first round on 10th November. Meanwhile, Ben Hamer and Grant Basey have returned to Reading and Charlton respectively having completed their loan deals.
